How It All Started
I was discovered by a designer from LA that lived in Bali on a rainy night. Our power had gone out in our villa, and if you know my Mom, she cannot live without the air conditioner in the Bali heat. So we decided to go stay somewhere close to my school for the night, to get a good meal, and a cool night sleep.
After driving around for an hour with no luck, we pulled upon an eclectic place called De Daun near my school. My Dad walked in and saw 2 ladies sitting having a meal and a glass of red wine, and immediately asked if they had a room for the night, luckily they did so we stayed.
I fell asleep as my parents were talking. My Mom asked the woman sitting what she did for work and why she was in Bali. “I’m a designer”, she said in a sweet, soft voice. In my deep slumber I woke up and said “Im a designer too!”.
“You are?” she said. “then I’m sure you have your sketch book” and of course I said “yes!” I showed Karen my book and she said “These are amazing, and nothing like I have ever seen” You should make them.
and this is how I got to where I am today.

I now have my own studio with 5 “dudes” that work with me on the creation of my designs.
We took an old run down room and turned it into a beautiful working environment with AC, and high quality machines. All of the guys are from Java, and have relocated here on Bali for a better life for their families, and we are so happy we can help do that for them. Giving back is part of the HS Styles Brand Soul

I’M Hanalei!
I want to change the world. I want to inspire kids and adults to live their dreams now, and not wait until they grow up to do it.
Most kids are asked, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” But I wasn’t asked that, I was asked, “what do you want to be now?” This question changed my perspective on what I could do at such a young age, and instead of thinking I had to wait to become a fashion designer until i was 20 or 30, I decided to do it now and started designing at the age of 7 years old. (I’m currently 12).
You see, I got my first passport when I was 2 weeks old, and travelled to Australia with my mom and dad for an event they were speaking at with Bob Proctor ( I have never met him, but he seems really cool) My Mom and Dad used to work for big companies. My Dad was a Robotics Engineer and my Mom was an executive for a Pharmaceutical Company but she saw a lady put a new baby in daycare for a full day, and that day she said “I will never do that to a child” I need to find a way to stay with my baby and still work.
So that’s what my Mom did,
She quit her job to raise me from home.
Everyone freaked out, including my Dad but my Mom wanted to be the main influence in my life over having someone else raise me everyday. She is my best friend, my role model and someone I want to be like everyday. She works hard, she’s funny and very caring. My Mom is like a super hero to me.
She also retired my Dad from his job as a Robotics Engineer,
when she started working online, and now he gets to surf the worlds best waves. I guess you could say, he is a believer now that you don’t have to have a “real job” to make a great life for you and your family.
I was one year old when I started traveling. I left the USA to travel abroad with my parents. They wanted me to learn from real life, not from a text book.
In that time we have visited and lived in 6 continents and over 36+ countries. Most people think I have grown up different than other kids my age but I think it’s pretty normal. I’ve attended schools in countries like Brazil, Panama, Peru, Mexico, and Indonesia. I’ve had the opportunity to see some incredible places and meet amazing people.
I’ve made friends from all around the world. Every day is a new adventure with new friends, sights and new lessons. Being an only child while traveling I had a lot of time to think, draw, and sketch the beautiful sites I would visit. When I was 5 I visited Morocco and Paris and since then I became fascinated with fashion and design.
In the last 3 years, I have had the opportunity to speak too.

My passion has always been art… and fashion. Travelling this much definitely introduced me to a lot of styles, textiles, colors, and designs. The pollera of Panama, Moroccan Kaftans, to Balinese Kebaya. sarongs. I am inspired by them all.
My goal is to help women and young girls love themselves and feel beautiful in their skin. I have always wanted to help people. And thats exactly what my message and collection will do. Make people happy. I want to inspire women and young girls to live their dreams NOW.
UNSTOPPABLE KIDS
It’s about preparing future generations to live the life they were born to live, to explore not within the boundaries of what society dictates, but outside the boundaries of their imagination, to improve life as we know it on our planet and add massive value back to the world. The UK program is a virtual hangout for kids teaching kids.

Please join me in helping an entire village escape the vicious cycle of poverty by providing access to an education. Education has been proven to yield a larger impact than ANY other form of help or aid we can give. It improves health, income, promotes gender equality, and reduces overall poverty.
Together our collective efforts will build and furnish a school house and give the entire community access to clean water, sanitation, food and nutrition, healthcare and alternative income training for parents.
Together we will help an entire village transform into becoming self-sustaining for generations to come!
